  • Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce – Business Advocacy & Economic Development

During a three-year engagement with the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce (SSC) covering the South King County region, LM Consulting partnered to elevate the Chamber’s economic development footprint, member value proposition, and regional workforce readiness agenda. Leveraging SSC’s mission “to create success for our members … support a strong economic environment in Southwest King County” our work concentrated on coalition building across business, education and public-sector stakeholders, launching the Chamber’s nonprofit arm (the Success Foundation) to expand workforce training pathways, and engaging more than 300 business members through targeted programming, network events and direct outreach to enhance business connection and growth.

The initiative also produced a five-year workforce strategy grounded in inclusive economic mobility and cross-sector collaboration—placing the Chamber as a regional leader in talent pipeline development and regional advocacy. By co-authoring this strategic framework, and driving programming and partnerships that strengthened the Chamber’s voice in business advocacy, LM Consulting helped position SSC to respond effectively to member needs, regional workforce demand, and community-economic challenges. The result: a stronger, more engaged membership base, a formal nonprofit workforce entity, and a strategy orientation that primes the region for sustained talent and economic growth.
